She was raised by her mother Ms. Cole for the first 20 years of her life as her father Stanley Cole was convicted to 30 years in jail the day she came into the world for circulating cocaine; he served 22 years and was then deported back to his native Jamaica. Her parents are Rastafarians and Jamaican immigrants. Cole became a vegetarian in the year 2007, and a vegan in the year 2014.

Cole started her career in television production. She worked on programs like Iyanla: Fix My Life and Judge Karen’s Court. In the year 2014, she opened her first restaurant, called Pinky’s Jamaican-American Restaurant, in Harlem, New York. The restaurant was successful for two consecutive years but shut down in 2016 after a grease fire.

Two years later she opened Slutty Vegan, a plant-based burger restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia.
